President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to the Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Foreign Member of the RA Academy of Sciences Yuri Hovhannissian on the occasion of his 85th birth anniversary.

The letter reads:
“Dear Mr. Hovhannissian,
I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of your 85th birth anniversary.
Your contribution to the development of the experimental nuclear physics is invaluable. A number of new elements of the Mendeleev table have been discovered with your immediate participation and your name has been enshrined forever in the newest elements known to us. Your scientific input commands credit and fills the hearts of the Armenian people with pride.
I once again congratulate you on this jubilee and wish you excellent health, fortitude and tenacity to carry on with your work.”
