President took part in broadened session of Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Astana

 

President Serzh Sargsyan who has arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan on a working visit today took part in the broadened session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Astana. The heads of the member states Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, as well as the Presidents of the observer states Armenia and Kyrgyzstan participated in the session.

As a result of the session, the Presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan concluded an agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union. The issue concerning the enlargement of the Eurasian integration process was also discussed. Particularly, issues concerning the preparation of an agreement for Armenia’s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as issues regarding Kyrgyzstan’s roadmap of joining the Customs Union and the Common Economic Area were discussed.

President Serzh Sargsyan made a statement at the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
