The President of the Republic of Cyprus Dimitris Christofias will be arriving to Armenia on a two-day state visit

At the invitation of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, the President of the Republic of Cyprus Dimitris Christofias, accompanied by his spouse Mrs. Elsi Christofias, on July 6 will be arriving to Armenia on a two-day state visit.

On the same day there will take place the official ceremony of welcoming the high guest at the Presidential Palace, which will be followed by the private meeting of Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Dimitris Christofias. Later, there will take place the meeting of the official delegation in the extended format. At the conclusion of the meeting the Presidents of Armenia and Cyprus will give a joint press conference.

In the evening of July 6, in honor of the President of Cyprus and Mrs. Elsi Chrisotfias, President Serzh Sargsyan and Mrs. Rita Sargsyan will host a state dinner.

In the framework of his visit President Christofias will meet with the Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sarkissian and will be hosted by the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II.

The President of the Republic of Cyprus will visit the Genocide memorial and lay a wreath at the monument. He will also tour the Genocide museum and will plant a tree at the Remembrance Park.

At the Yerevan City Hall the President of Cyprus will meet with Mayor Gagik Beglarian and a group of distinguished citizens of Yerevan and will visit the Yerevan Museum of History.

President Christofias and Mrs. Christofias will go to some of Armenia’s historical sites – Garni and Geghard. They will also visit the Matenadaran.

The President of Cyprus will depart from Armenia on July 7.
