Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic due to make official visit to Armenia

 

At the invitation of President Serzh Sargsyan, President Tomislav Nikolic of the Republic of Serbia is to make an official visit to the Republic of Armenia this evening.

Within the framework of the visit, the two presidents will hold a private conversation at the Presidential Palace on October 11. Afterwards, the Armenian and Serbian Presidents will leave for Dilijan to participate in the opening ceremony of Dilijan International School. The same evening Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Tomislav Nikolic will watch a Euro 2016 qualifying match between Armenia and Serbia.

On October 12 the Serbian President will visit Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to lay a wreath at the Memorial to the Victims of the Armenian Genocide and pay tribute to the memory of the innocent victims. Later on, Armenian-Serbian negotiations will take place in the RA Presidential Palace followed by a ceremony of signing documents aimed at strengthening and deepening cooperation in a number of spheres. Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Tomislav Nikolic will make a joint press statement on the negotiation results.

The Serbian President will also hold a meeting with the President of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan.

The same day President Tomislav Nikolic will lay a wreath at the Memorial to Serbian Pilots in Armavir Marz, will hold a meeting with the Catholicos of All Armenians at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin and will visit the Gandzaran and the Cathedral.
