President Serzh Sargsyan receives Georgian Interior Minister Alexander Chikaidze

 

President Serzh Sargsyan today received Georgian Interior Minister Alexander Chikaidze.

The President welcomed the guest and expressed the hope that his visit will be effective, stimulating further cooperation of Armenian and Georgian police authorities based on the existing legal framework.

Minister Chikaidze expressed satisfaction with the fact that the Georgian Interior Ministry has established a close partner relationship with the Police of the Republic of Armenia, and his visit is aimed at further strengthening that relationship and discussing issues concerning promotion of continued collaboration.

The interlocutors agreed that the high-level political dialogue, reciprocal visits and the constructive and warm relationship between Armenia and Georgia help the two neighboring countries, which have age-old friendly ties, to keep on promoting cooperation in an effort to respond to contemporary challenges and find effective solutions to regional issues of mutual concern.
