President issues decree on list of candidates for judges and on amendment to Decree Approving List of Candidates for Judges

President Serzh Sargsyan today issued a decree on the list of candidates for judges submitted by the Council of Justice and on the amendment to Republic of Armenia Presidential Decree No. 136-A of July 23 2011 Approving the List of Candidates for Judges.

By Decision No. AKH-29-VO-27 of December 15 2014 Amending the List of Candidates for Judges, the Council of Justice submitted the list of candidates for judges to the President of the Republic of Armenia for approval. The list included 10 candidates specialized in criminal law field and 3 candidates specialized in civil law field.

The list of candidates for judges specialized in criminal law field has been approved by the President of the Republic of Armenia while the list of those specialized in civil law field has been remanded to the Council of Justice to conduct a review because the examination of the submitted documents has triggered the need to once again determine whether the aspirants meet the candidate selection criteria.
