President receives Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment International Education

President Serzh Sargsyan received Michael O’Sullivan, Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment International Education Center.

Welcoming the guest, the President highlighted the ongoing cooperation between Ayb Educational Foundation and the program’s international partner - the Cambridge Assessment International Education Center - under the National Education Excellence Program.

As the President of Armenia said, the cooperation will help Armenia give a new impetus to the reforms in secondary education aimed at providing high quality education to international students. Serzh Sargsyan underscored that in order to achieve this goal Armenia is determined to push ahead with the reform making it a nationwide effort.

The President highlighted the role played by the Araratian Bachelor’s Degree in the National Education Excellence Program aimed at creating an internationally recognizable and competitive system based on the best practices of Armenia’s educational traditions and modern methodologies.

Michael O’Sullivan noted that the Cambridge Assessment International Education Center is trying to reform educational systems in many countries by localizing today’s best practices in a bid to shape a new educational system. According to Mr O’Sullivan, Armenia has built up a solid foundation for such improvements.

The Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment International Education Center emphasized that they have a good partner in Armenia in the person of Ayb Educational Foundation, which can help implement the necessary reforms.
