President receives world-renowned pianist Yevgeni Kisin


President Serzh Sargsyan received world-renowned pianist Yevgeny Kisin who has arrived in our country to attend the 18th edition of the Yerevan Perspectives music festival.

Welcoming the talented artist to our country where, as the President said, Yevgeny Kisin is not only appreciated for his great mastership, talent and wonderful performances, but also for his human qualities, and for which he is loved as a friend of the Armenian people.

Noting that the Armenian people will never forget Yevgeny Kisin’s support in the aftermath of the 1988 earthquake, President Sargsyan thanked the legendary pianist for joining the concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in New York and the exciting performance of Komitas’s Krunk. The President said Armenia is always glad to host the renowned artist.

Yevgeny Kisin stressed that he had the same feeling of love and respect for the Armenian nation which boasts a centuries-old culture and history, and went on to assure that he will be back to Armenia as long as he lives.
