President receives Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs and Labor - State Minister for Economic Affairs

President Serzh Sargsyan received Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, State Minister for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh.

Congratulating Mrs. Hind Al-Sabeeh on her reappointment and appointment as State Minister for Economic Affairs, the President of Armenia expressed the hope that during her tenure, she would continue to promote the strengthening of bilateral interstate ties. Noting that Armenia prioritizes the development of friendly relations with Kuwait in all spheres of mutual interest, Serzh Sargsyan spoke with satisfaction about the strong ties of interaction formed after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the progress made in the interstate relations.

The President praised the Kuwaiti authorities and people for the warm attitude shown to the Armenian community, as well as for the support provided by Kuwaiti Government to those Syrian-Armenians who have found refuge in Armenia.

Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs and Labor - State Minister for Economic Affairs stressed that the Armenian community and the friendly Armenian people are held in deep respect in her country. Hind Al-Sabeeh noted that she personally has a special attitude toward Armenia; she often visits our country as a tourist and advises her compatriots to do so.

The Minister noted with satisfaction the efficient cooperation established with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, emphasizing that she had invited his Armenian counterpart to Kuwait on a reciprocal visit with a view to bolstering the ongoing cooperation with new programs and exchange of experience. Minister Hind Al-Sabeeh advised that a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the two ministries on the margins of her visit.

President Sargsyan thanked the Government of Kuwait for supporting the construction of a new building for the elderly in Armenia, noting that helping people in need of care is a godly affair.
