Today, President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the victory in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games.

Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich,
Accept my sincere words of gratitude for your invitation to take part in the opening ceremony of the Sochi 2014 XXII Winter Olympic Games. The ceremony which left an unforgettable impression on me was distinguished by its elegance, symbolism and originality. The world indeed was following the bright and emotive scene and was admiring its perfectness.
No less impressive was the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games, which, without any doubt, can be described as the most massive closing ceremony throughout the entire history of Winter Olympic Games.
The technical saturation and the professional organization of the Olympic Games raised the hold of the forthcoming Olympic Games to a new quality level thereby setting a higher bar for the future organizers.
The culmination of the Olympic Games became the Russian National Team's absolute victory in terms of the 33 record medal numbers. I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of this significant event, the unprecedented victory and wish the brotherly Russian people recurrent successes and achievements,” said the congratulatory message of the RA President.
