On occasion of upcoming holidays President Serzh Sargsyan and Mrs. Rita Sargsyan host plenty of children at Presidential Palace

On the occasion of New Year and Christmas, President Serzh Sargsyan and Mrs. Rita Sargsyan hosted today at the Presidential Palace children and grandchildren of numerous deceased and disabled freedom fighters and of veterans of the Artsakh Liberation War and servicemen, including those from the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, as well as children with limited abilities.

On his own behalf and on behalf of Mrs. Rita Sargsyan, the Armenian President congratulated the participants of the event and all the children on the occasion of the holidays and wished them all the best: “Dear children, I am very glad that you are saying goodbye to the passing year through singing, dancing and playing, and your happiness gives a new breath of fresh air to this building and its walls. That breath will stay long in this building. We receive children at the Presidential Palace on a regular basis, including pupils, especially the ones who raise the prestige of our country through their progress and conduct, by wining, for example, prizes in International Science Olympiads. I am confident that after many years very many of you will enter this building as winners of the RA President’s Awards for the young scientist or the young artist.

Always remember, dear children, everything will be alright and you will manage to succeed in everything; just do it joyfully and with love: you should play joyfully; study joyfully, be friends joyfully and then you will always succeed. I want you to live with all your heart, I want your every day to be filled with joy, and I want you to have good friends and make your parents, your grandmothers and grandfathers happy. You are our country’s hope and its future. I want you to achieve much greater success in 2015 and I want your parents to praise you more often for good conduct and studying well in 2015. I and Mrs. Rita Sargsyan would like to congratulate you on New Year and wish the coming year to be much better for you than you can image.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
