President Serzh Sargsyan received members of the Board of the Asian Development Bank

President Serzh Sargsyan received today members of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The President of Armenia welcomed the Bank’s high-level visit to Armenia and noted that it proves once again that ADB has a strong partnership with Armenia. Serzh Sargsyan hailed ADB’s activities aimed at the development of Armenia’s infrastructure and sustainable economic development. Noting that as a result of a decade-long mutually beneficial cooperation the Bank has made considerable investments in Armenia, President Sargsyan expressed hope that the cooperation will go on.

The parties spoke about major programs, which are being implemented in our country through the financing of the ADB, as well as about future programs keeping in mind Armenia’s economic priorities. The President of Armenia assured that reforms carried out in our country and steps aimed at the improvement of business climate will be of a continuous nature.

Representatives of the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank hailed Armenia’s reasonable macroeconomic policy against the background of the negative impulses coming from outside and the achieved results. They underscored that the Bank will continue to assist Armenia with its reformation agenda and economic development.
At the meeting, members of the ADB Board of Directors presented their views and assessment regarding the programs implemented in the framework of cooperation with Armenia for years 2014-2018 and the ongoing programs.
