The newly appointed Ambassador of Finland to Armenia presented her credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan


Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the Republic of Armenia Arya Makkonen (residence in Helsinki) presented her credentials to Serzh Sargsyan.

The President of Armenia congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment, wished success and noted with satisfaction that the relations between Armenia and Finland are developing steadily, the political dialogue bears a continuous nature, the two countries are cooperating successfully in the framework of international organizations and with regard to many international issues maintain same approaches. According to the President, all this creates a good base for the strengthening and deepening of the Armenian-Finnish relations. Serzh Sargsyan stressed the importance of expanding the legal field, invigoration of the interparliamentary cooperation and the utilization of that potential in the interstate relations.

Ambassador Arya Makkonen concurred with the President on his assessment regarding the interstate relations and stressed the importance of deepening cooperation in the mutually beneficial areas for the enhancement of trade and economic ties.

At the meeting, the parties spoke also about the regional issues and challenges, and the NK peace process.
