President Armen Sarkissian received Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Antoni Świtalski

President Armen Sarkissian received today Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Antoni Świtalski.

The President stressed the importance of furthering relations with the European Union and said, “We are ready to foster political dialogue with the EU, cooperation in the areas of economy, mobility, good governance and many other areas of mutual interest.”

Ambassador Świtalski congratulated President Sarkissian on assuming the office and welcomed yesterday’s signing by the President of the law on the ratification of the CEPA agreement. The Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Armenia on one side and the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community and its member states on the other hand was signed on November 24, 2017.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the programs implemented in Armenia through the assistance of the European Union, spoke about possibilities to enhance their efficiency, noted priorities and outlined new programs.
