It is essential to preserve our rituals, mythology, legends, and songs. Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian met with musicologist Hasmik Baghramyan

The President‘s spouse Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian hosted musicologist Hasmik Baghramyan, the President of the "Revival of Traditional Holidays" educational and cultural non-governmental organization and Artistic Director of the "Tonatsuyts" National Theatre, at the "Yerevan, My Love" Foundation.

Hasmik Baghramyan has been restoring Armenian folk holidays, songs, and rituals for more than twenty years; she also tries to present Armenian culture and customs to the world.

She told Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian about her activities, noting that her mission is to rediscover the traditions and rituals that have been forgotten and pass them on to the younger generations. "Through Armenian songs, dances, fairy tales, and games, we instill in children, aged from three to fourteen, love for the homeland, and our traditions. Today, wherever they go, and whatever they do, they will always have the Armenian, the good and the bright," said Hasmik Baghramyan.

Attaching importance to preserving Armenian traditions and passing them on to the next generations, Mrs. Nouneh Sarkissian welcomed Hasmik Baghramyan's activities.

"It is essential that the traditions, customs, and rituals of our people are not forgotten and pass on to the younger generations. Knowing our traditions, mythology, and the history of the Armenian people, we preserve our identity and uniqueness. Our rich heritage of the past will be a strong basis for our children to build their bright future," said Nouneh Sarkissian.

She added that the motto of the "Yerevan, My Love" foundation: "Restoring the past, let us build the future," also carries this message.

Nouneh Sarkissian and Hasmik Baghramyan toured the "Yerevan, My Love" Foundation and discussed the issues of implementing new programs aimed at preserving national heritage for the younger generations.
