On the occasion of tragic loss of ten French troops serving in Afghanistan, President Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences to the President of France, Nikolas Sarkozi.
The letter states:
“Mr. President,
I learned with great sorrow the news of loss of ten French troops in Afghanistan. In this tragic time on behalf of the people of Armenia and my own behalf I express our profound condolences to you, families of the dead and the friendly people of France.
Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of my highest esteem.”
