Repatriating to Armenia, Manarian continued traditions of his famous in Tehran parents, becoming the patriarch of a large family of talented artists.

Ervand Manarian’s work was a full theatrical season which, regrettably, ended. In his nineties, he continued to make plans and remained true to a creative thinking.

Ervand Manarian was truly a people’s artist: he was cherished and accepted by the old and young alike. Remarkable characters created by him and many of the words, which became winged words, will stay in the people’s memory forever.

I recall warmly our conversations which were incomparable lessons of wisdom and humanism.

I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the renowned artist, admirers of his art and share their grief.”
