President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of the United States Barak Obama on the occasion of the 234th anniversary of America’s independence
The message states:
“Dear Mr. President,
I would like to extend my warm congratulations to you and the friendly people of the United States of America on the occasion of the 234th Anniversary of the Independence.
We are grateful to the United States for its comprehensive and continuous support to Armenia since the first years of the independence of our country.
Armenia attaches special importance to its bilateral relations with the United States, as well as to the cooperation between our countries in seeking solutions to various regional and international issues. We are greatly interested in further development of our multi-dimensional relationship with the United States.
The United States Independence Day is undoubtedly connected with the fundamental right of the people to self-determination. The United States as a Co-Chair state of the OSCE Minsk Group plays an important role in the process of the peaceful solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We highly appreciate the consistent and constructive efforts of the United States towards the just resolution of the conflict”.
