Congratulatory Address by President Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Prosecutor’s Service in Armenia and Prosecutor’s Service Worker Day

Distinguished Prosecutors,
Esteemed Workers of the Prosecutor’s Service

I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Prosecutor’s Service in Armenia and Prosecutor’s Service Worker Day.
The Prosecutor’s Service of Armenia, which is almost one hundred years old, has been fulfilling its duties with honor, upholding lawfulness and legal order in the country and in the newly independent Armenia, the Service has been keeping in the center of its attention the protections of the peoples’ and citizens’ rights and freedoms.

Today, the Prosecutor’s Office continues to honorably carry out its responsibilities enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and has been successfully withstanding the challenges of our time. The Prosecutor’s Office employs many knowledgeable, skillful and dedicated prosecutors whose efficient work guarantees future success of the Service and, ultimately, the advancement of our country.

I would like to note with satisfaction that the Prosecutor’s Service of Armenia has been actively involved in fight against pan-national crimes such as money laundering and trafficking. Armenia’s success in the mentioned areas has been duly acknowledged by the international structures which we have formed a successful cooperation with. It is also encouraging that the Prosecutor’s Office of Armenian has signed numerous bilateral agreements with the relevant bodies of foreign states.

I once again congratulate you on the jubilee and professional holiday and wish you new achievements in your difficult service, well-being to you and your families.
