President sends congratulatory message to RA Honorary Worker of Art Stepan Shakaryan on his 80th birthday

President Serzh Sargsyan has sent a congratulatory message to composer and pianist Stepan Shakaryan, RA Honorary Worker of Art, on his 80th birthday.

“You have made a major contribution to the development and enrichment of Armenian musical arts, particularly jazz. Both your classical and jazz works have earned success and recognition not only for you, but also for modern Armenian arts in general; have clear national origins and universal sonority at the same time.

I also value your many years of pedagogical activities aimed at tomorrow’s day of our musical culture.

I once again congratulate you on your jubilee and wish you good health and all the best,” reads the RA president’s congratulatory message.
