President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the occasion of Reunification Day

President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the occasion of national holiday - Reunification Day.

The message states:

"Armenia attaches the utmost importance to a continuous development of the bilateral relations with the friendly Germany. We can state with satisfaction that the Armenian-German relations, which develop in the atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, are expanding to encompass new areas. We were able to establish a productive cooperation in almost all areas of mutual interest.

We highly appreciate Germany's continuous assistance to Armenia in carrying out social and economic, democratic reforms and in a steady deepening of the Armenia-EU cooperation. I am hopeful that through the joint efforts we will be able to maintain positive dynamics of the Armenian-German cooperation for the benefit of our two nations. I recall warmly my official visit to Germany last year during which we had constructive discussions on the prospects of the bilateral relations."

President Sarkissian wished Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier good health and all the best as well as further advancement and prosperity to the friendly people of Germany.
