Armenian-Irish friendship: President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to the President of Ireland
President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Ireland Michael Daniel Higgins on the National holiday of the country Saint Patrick’s Day.
President Sarkissian hailed the Armenian-Irish relations and along with congratulations and good wishes addressed to his colleague, spoke about their meeting which took place years ago. “I recalled warmly our meeting when I was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Ireland and our conversation on culture, history and Armenian miniatures,” reads in particular the message of the President of Armenia.
President Armen Sarkissian expressed confidence that the friendly relations between Armenia and Ireland, anchored in the common Christian system of values, would continue to develop while the agenda of bilateral cooperation would be augmented with new initiatives of mutual interest.
The President of Armenia expressed readiness to set new areas of cooperation considering Ireland’s success in the field of modern technologies. As such, President Sarkissian singled out the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) Presidential initiative which aims at the creation of a multifunctional scientific and educational environment and offers exceptional experience for different groups ranging from children to scientists from research divisions of the leading corporations.
