President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad on the occasion of the National holiday - Independence Day.

The message reads in particular: "Relations with friendly Syria, based on centuries of history, mutual trust and common values, are of particular importance to us.
Armenia is interested in developing mutually beneficial cooperation with Syria on both bilateral and multilateral platforms.

I am confident that there is great potential between our countries to establish effective cooperation in various fields."
