Medals of the Republic of Armenia
The Medal of Courage is awarded for personal bravery demonstrated in the spheres of the defense of the motherland, protection of public order, national security service, criminal executive, judicial acts compulsory enforcement and rescue services, as well as for fulfilling official or civic duty under conditions dangerous for life.
The Medal of Services to the Motherland is awarded for significant services rendered to the motherland.
The Medal for Military Service is awarded for skillful, proactive, brave actions aimed at fulfilling military tasks and ensuring military combat training, as well as for services rendered while defending the state borders.
The Medal of Mkhitar Gosh is awarded for outstanding state and social-political activities, as well as for significant services in the spheres of diplomacy, law and political science.
The Medal of Mkhitar Heratsi is awarded for services aimed at promotion of the health and medical sectors in the Republic of Armenia and high professional and practical work, as well as for significant charitable activities.
The Medal of Anania Shirakatsi is awarded for significant activities, inventions and discoveries in the spheres of economy, engineering, architecture, science and technics.
The Medal of Movses Khorenatsi is awarded for outstanding achievements in the spheres of culture, art, literature, education, social sciences and sports.
The Medal for Excellent Maintenance of Public Order is awarded for strengthening law and order and heroic deed or self-sacrifice demonstrated in maintenance of public order or fight against crime, as well as for showing bravery while fulfilling official duties or civic duty or excellent execution of special missions.
The Medal of Gratitude is awarded for state, economic, social, scientific-technical and public activities, as well as for major personal contribution, many years’ devotion and fruitful activities aimed at promoting the spheres of health, education and culture.
The Medal of Merit in Work is awarded for significant achievements in the spheres of industry, agriculture, construction, transport, protection of environment and other spheres of activities, as well as for many years’ selfless and effective work.
The Medal of Parental Glory is awarded to those parents (parent) and adoptive parents (adoptive parent) who are citizens of the Republic of Armenia and have raised six or more children.
