Today President Serzh Sargsyan received the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia Ms. Rina Pandey.
The President of Armenia mentioned with satisfaction the high level of political relations between the two countries and productive cooperation in the international structures.
Speaking about economic ties, the parties noted that in Armenia there are already good examples of successful Indian investments. At the same time the sides stressed the importance of a fuller realization of the existing economic potential and opportunities.
President Sargsyan and Ambassador Pandey spoke also about the cooperation in the areas of education and science. It was also noted that many Indian students are studying today in Yerevan.
Noting the important role of the Armenian-Indian community in developing bilateral relations, the President of Armenia said that the Diaspora has a rich history and that many Armenian educational and cultural landmarks were created in India.
Ambassador Pandey said that the results of different undertakings of President Sargsyan directed at the improvement of social conditions have already become noticeable and wished him further success in his work.
