President Serzh Sargsyan received the administrator of the Armenian railroad system’s consortium, President of the “Russian railroads” company Vladimir Yakunin
Today President Serzh Sargsyan received the administrator of the Armenian railroad system’s consortium, President of the “Russian railroads” company Vladimir Yakunin.
The parties discussed the current situation of the Armenian railways and prospects for development.
Noting that Armenia has great expectations that under the Russian management the Armenian railways would become modern and highly efficient system, President Sargsyan stressed at the same time the importance of transparency and proper control over the investment project.
Vladimir Yakunin said that currently the Russian side registers the inventory of the entire system and analyzes the situation aiming at the increased effectiveness of the management. He guaranteed a timely and precise implementation of the assumed responsibilities.
At the meeting discussed was also the issue of alternative routs.
