Today President Serzh Sargsyan participated at the 13th international scientific conference on the “Principal Constitutional Values and Public Practice”.

Welcoming the participants of the conference, the President of Armenia said that it was gratifying that a conference on the constitutional issues was held in Yerevan and added that with each passing year this kind of discussions were becoming more and more practical for this region.

“We highly value this good tradition since any young democracy always has a need for an advice, experience of other countries, adoption and implementation of good practices. We are not shying away from these issues since the topics that are being discussed during these conferences are of significant importance for the countries in transition, such as Armenia,” said Serzh Sargsyan.

According to the President, with the ascend of the independent statehood, primacy of the law and justice became constitutional values and are very important for the establishment of constitutional democracy in our country.
