President Serzh Sargsyan held a working meeting with the Minister for Diaspora Affairs
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan held a working meeting with the Minister for Diaspora Affairs, Hranoush Hakopian.
Minister Hakopian presented to the President of Armenia the activities of the Ministry for Diaspora Affairs for the last four months, spoke about the launched programs and the upcoming events, which mainly pertain to the further improvement of the legislation related to the enhancement of the Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, training of specialists for the Armenian communities, as well as the development of the Armenia-Diaspora information realm, and issues related to the information exchange between Armenia and Diaspora.
The President of Armenia instructed along with the development of comprehensive approaches for works with Diaspora to pay special attention to the peculiarities of various diaspora communities and work out aim-oriented steps for dealing with the problems existing in the Armenian communities abroad.
