President Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates
Today, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates Mrs. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi and her delegation.
The President of Armenia stressed our country’s desire to expand multifaceted cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and expressed hope that the current visit of the UAE’s Minister of Trade would foster bilateral relations.
According to Mrs. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, the Armenian colleagues have proposed a number of interesting joint programs which will soon be presented to the business community of the UAE. Madam Minister noted with satisfaction the fact that in Armenia just as in the United Arab Emirates education and human resources in general are given great attention. Among the most prospective areas of economic cooperation the two sides mentioned high technologies, energy, agriculture, and tourism.
President Sargsyan said that the progress and achievements of the United Arab Emirates were very impressive and noted that even though Armenia and UAE exist in different environment their experience was interesting nevertheless since it could be useful for our country.
Serzh Sargsyan expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the Abu Dhabi Development Fund for the upgrading of Armenia’s the water system and for the donation made by Sheikh Emir of Sharzha for the renovation of the Haghartsin cloister infrastructure.
