Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union, Perch Sedrakian.
Hailing activities of the AGBU directed at the preservation of the Armenian identity and dedicated to the Armenian issues, the President of Armenia said that it was always a great pleasure to learn about new projects.
The President of AGBU presented activities of the Union and its forthcoming plans. He said that the Union has undertaken new projects which would reinforce ties of the new generation of the Diaspora Armenians with the Motherland.
The parties spoke also about the issues related to the preservation of the Diaspora’s potential, consolidation of the Armenian Diaspora for achieving all-national goals, preservation of the Armenia identity, education and other major issues, stressing the important role of the newly established Ministry for Diaspora in Armenia-Diaspora cooperation.
