The newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary to the RA presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Armenia Gabor Shagi (residence in Tbilisi) presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his nomination, the President of Armenia said that our country was interested in deepening relations with Hungary and expressed hope that during the Ambassador’s tenure in office he would do his best to further promote cooperation between the two countries.

According to Serzh Sargsyan, the Armenian-Hungarian relations have always been friendly and recent active contacts provide new opportunities for the further enhancement of cooperation. With this regard he stressed the importance of expanding the legal field in the bilateral relations.

The two sides concurred that there were serious prerequisites for developing more dynamic relations.

The newly appointed Ambassador said that Hungary was determined to strengthen its relations with Armenia in both bilateral and multilateral formats and was strongly supportive of the EU Eastern Partnership initiative. According to Gabor Shagi, the Hungarian side views the upcoming end of the year visit of President Sargsyan to Hungary as a serious impetus for the development of bilateral relations between the two states.
