President Serzh Sargsyan handed high state award to the renowned political scientist, Andranik Mihranian

By the April 18 decree of President Serzh Sargsyan, Andranik Mihranian was awarded the Order of Honor for his contribution to the strengthening and development of the Armenian-Russian friendly relations.

Today, presenting the award, the President of Armenia hailed the work of the renowned political scientist and said, “To receive the highest state distinction of the Republic of Armenia is a great honor for any citizen of Armenia, for any Armenian. It also a great honor for the President of Armenia on behalf of the Republic of Armenia to award her citizens, compatriots for their input.

Andranik Mihranian expressed gratitude for the high award. The political scientist expressed confidence that the authorities would do their best to further promote Armenia-Diaspora relations since “Armenia is a great country, but with the Diaspora it becomes a super-great country.” He expressed hope that there would be more “this kind of events, this kind of occasions to recognize people who offer their energy, enthusiasm, abilities and talents so that their historical motherland lives, becomes stronger, and flourishes.”
