President Sargsyan attended the opening of the Armenian-Russian enterprise for the production of oxidized road and construction bitumen

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of the Armenian-Russian enterprise for the production of oxidized road and construction bitumen in Surenavan village of Ararat marz.

The Director of the plant demonstrated the entire cycle of bitumen production on the technical maps displayed at the entrance to the plant.

The Vice Prime Minister of Armenia, Minister for Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgian and the Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ivanov cut red ribbon, after which those attending the ceremony made a tour of the facility. This enterprise stands out by the extensive automation of the testing system. The plant is equipped with high-tech laboratory and managing system which in January conducted a test of the first production of bitumen.

The plant is also equipped with the corresponding cleaning devices, as well as with bitumen vapor condensing automated system to limit releases into the atmosphere.

At the backyard of the plant, the President of Armenia also participated at the emblematic tree-planting ceremony.
