President Serzh Sargsyan visited Nairit plant
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan visited Nairit plant. The President of Armenia was accompanied by the Ministers of Energy and Natural Resources, Health, Emergency Situations, the Mayor of Yerevan, and other officials.
Serzh Sargsyan went round the territory of the damaged first tower of the chloroprene production section in 1-12 B unit and observed the circumstances of the industrial accident. The President of Armenia was reported that the investigation was underway to find out the causes of the explosion and the subsequent fire. Serzh Sargsyan stressed the importance of discovering the causes of the accident to avoid them in the future.
The President of Armenia expressed condolences to the families of the victims and those injured during the accident and said that serious conclusions should be drawn from the tragedy. ”I believe this accident should become another alarm signal for the managements and owners of other enterprises in Armenia,” the President of Armenia underlined.
