Today in Tsakhadzor President Serzh Sargsyan attended the last round of the Presidential Best-in-Sport Family competition and handed awards and certificates to the winners.

Congratulating the winners and participants of the competition, the President of Armenia said that in competition the important thing is participation. “Sport for everyone and active leisure are not only health supporting but also highly motivational activities. Look, how happy the children are. If every family in our country is engaged in some kind of sporting activity, we will become, I believe, one of the happiest nations in the world.

I wish you all to be optimistic because good heath, high spirits, and optimism are excellent prerequisites for achieving success. No need to be the Olympic champion to consider oneself a successful person. If one’s child is growing up healthy, becomes a worthy member of the society then you, as a parent, have undoubtedly achieved success.

I congratulate you all and hope that next year this gathering of 170 families will become the gathering of at least 250 families,” the President of Armenia stressed.

The winners of this year’s Presidential Best-in-Sport Family competition are the Santrosians from Yerevan – the third prize, the Sahakians from Ararat marz – the second prize, and the Eghiyans from Kotyak marz – the first prize. The winners received certificates and monetary awards.
