President Serzh Sargsyan received the Secretary General of CSTO Nikolay Bordjuzha
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolay Bordjuzha.
Welcoming the guest, the President of Armenia said that it was the first meeting since Armenia passed on her presidency in the Organization and Mr. Bordjuzha’s appointment for another term as the CSTO Secretary General.
President Sargsyan expressed gratitude for efficient cooperation and said, “I would like to express my satisfaction with the pace of cooperation in the framework of the CSTO and underline that a considerable amount of work has been done recently. Probably, this is the first inspiring instance when an oral decision soon after became a document, which allowed the creation of the Rapid Response Force. The Force was created and military exercises were conducted shortly. I am confident that very soon we will have the package of regulations completed and our Organization will become the most safeguard for the security of our member states.” Serzh Sargsyan thanked Nikolay Bordjuzha for his active and efficient work, noting that he signed a decree to honor him with a high state award – Order of Honor.
Accepting the Armenian state award with gratitude, the Secretary General of the CSTO said that he views the award as a token of trust and would do his best to make the Organization’s activities more efficient and issues to be solved more speedily.
