The newly appointed Ambassador of Albania to Armenia presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of Albania to Armenia Villi Minarolli (residence in Athens) presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President of Armenia congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador and expressed hope that he would do his best to efficiently use the existing potential for the promotion of relations between the two countries.

Serzh Sargsyan stressed the importance of invigorating political dialogue and expansion of the legal field which would allow to develop cooperation in other areas.

The two sides agreed that Armenia and Albania had no contentious issues that could hamper development of the bilateral relations but have many similarities and shared aspirations which could bring the two countries closer.

President Sargsyan and Ambassador Minarolli exchanged also views regarding some regional issues. With regard to the NK conflict, President Sargsyan stressed that it is a question of self-determination of the people of Artsakh and has no religious undertones. Ambassador Minarolli said that Albania steadfastly supports the right of people for self-determination.
