Today, President Serzh Sargsyan participated at the opening of a newly constructed underground parking lot located next to the Liberty Square.

The President toured the territory of the parking lot, observed the beautification works on the Liberty Square and familiarized with the blue print of a new, up-to-date cycle track to be built in Yerevan. Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that the parking lot would become a model for all those who would undertake construction of underground parking lots. According to the President, the parking lots such as this one would considerably alleviate traffic congestion, allowing for a safer and more relaxed riding.

This three-story parking lot is designed for 500 vehicles. It’s been constructed by the Italian Renco S.p.A. company in the framework of the urban development investment program presented by the Yerevan City Hall.

The new cycle track, located near Admiral Isakov Avenue, will also be constructed by Renco S.p.A. company and will accommodate 3200 spectators.
