President Serzh Sargsyan participated at the official opening ceremony of the First All-Armenian Youth Chess Olympiad
Today, at the Chess Academy President Sargsyan participated at the official opening ceremony of the First All-Armenian Youth Chess Olympiad to be held in Yerevan on August 15-23.
The Olympiad, which is being organized in the framework of One Nation, One Culture All-Armenian Culture Festival, will be attended by over forty high-ranking chess players from Armenia, Artsakh and Spyurq.
The Olympiad is aimed at the strengthening of ties between the young people in Armenia and Spyurq in the area of sport, as well as at the introduction and propagation of Armenia’s chess playing traditions.
