President Sargsyan received the world famous conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the world famous conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov, who is in Armenia in the framework of the program of performances of the CIS symphonic youth orchestra.

Welcoming the great conductor, Serzh Sargsyan said,
“I am glad that your each visit to Armenia turns into a great event in the cultural life of our country. It is proved first of all by the packed halls and secondly, by the warm reception you receive. You should know that here in Armenia people love you and regard you as a friend of our country.”

Vladimir Spivakov discussed with the President of Armenia the program of concerts of the youth symphonic orchestra and the idea which was in the core of creating the orchestra three years ago. The idea was to involve in the orchestra representatives of different nationalities, who are also bearers of different cultures. According to the renowned conductor, the art of music can do things which are not achievable for human language.

Regarding the tour, Vladimir Spivakov said that he was happy for this opportunity. He spoke with admiration about the Armenian musicians performing in the orchestra, noting that there are many talented children in Armenia and that it is very important to find them and give opportunities for their talents to flourish.
