In Astrakhan will take place the trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan

President Serzh Sargsyan left today for the Russian region Astrakhan to participate at the trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan, initiated by the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. The meeting of the Presidents will be followed by the meeting with the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.

In Astrakhan, President Sargsyan accompanied by the spiritual leader of St Ripsime Church, representatives of local authorities and the Armenian community will visit the Armenian memorial situated in the center of the city and will lay a wreath at the cross-stone monument. The cross-stone monument was installed here in the memory of the Armenian Church built here back in 1706 and demolished in the 1930s as well as in commemoration of the 290th anniversary of the establishment of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Astrakhan.
