The newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to Armenia presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to the Republic of Armenia Shmuel Meirom presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President of Armenia congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope that during his tenure the Armenian-Israeli relations would further strengthen and develop. The President of Armenia stressed that the two ancient nations, which have deep historical roots and were destined to have many similarities in their history, have to have close relations and cooperate actively in the political as well as economic and cultural areas.

The Ambassador of Israel Shmuel Meirom assured the President of Armenia that he would do his best to further develop good ties existing between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations because Israel is striving to make them excellent. According to the Ambassador, having among similarities historically formed large Diaporas, as well as sharing common desire for regional peace and prosperity, Armenia and Israel in cooperation can do a lot to achieve these goals.
