President Serzh Sargsyan has left on a working visit to Gegharkunik and Lori marzes

In Gegharkunik marz, President of Armenia observed repair works of the Sevan-Martuni-Getap submerged section of the Sevan-Lechashen highway. President Sargsyan was informed that as of November 1, 2010, state-financed works were done on digging and bank consolidation, 3400 meter stretch was enforced with metal valves, and roadway was fortified. The President instructed to allocated funds for paving with asphalt the observable part of the road, and weather permitting, at the beginning of spring 2011 the pavement works will be concluded. It was also directed until then to ensure that the road is passable.

Afterwards, President Sargsyan familiarized with the maps of the areas to be cleaned as well as with the technical feasibilities of the Waterman Classic III multifunctional excavator which will perform cleaning works in the flooded and waterlogged areas. Serzh Sargsyan issued also instructions related to the cleaning of the Sevan shores, stressing the importance of cleaning the water of the lake.

Concluding his visit to Gegharkunik marz, President Sargsyan left for Lori.
