The President of Armenia received the delegation of the interparliamentary commission
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the delegation of the Commission of the RA National Assembly and RF Federal Assembly for interparliamentary cooperation, headed by the Co-Chairs of the Commission – the National Hero of the Republic of Armenia, member of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Nikolay Ryzhkov and member of the RA National Assembly Aram Safarian.
President Sargsyan underscored that the Armenian-Russian strategic partnership based on strong foundation develops steadily, and interparliamentary cooperation plays an important role in strengthening bilateral relations. The President of Armenia expressed gratitude to all those who through their dedication and day-by-day work contribute to the raising of the bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level every year.
“Armenia values her friends and is grateful to them,” said the President of Armenia. According to Serzh Sargsyan, among such friends is the First Deputy Chairman of RF State Duma commission for CIS and relations with Compatriots Abroad Konstantin Zatulin. The President of Armenia conferred on him the Order of Honor for his considerable contribution to the deepening of the Armenian-Russian cooperation, strengthening development and friendship between the two nations.
Nikolay Ryzhkov presented to the President of Armenia the process of implementation of the decisions adopted at the previous session of the interparliamentary Commission and issues discussed during the Yerevan session which are aimed at the development of bilateral cooperation in the areas of innovations, high technologies, science, and other critical areas.
The President of Armenia wished the Commission success in its future activities.
