President Sargsyan received the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Audronius Azubalis
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Audronius Azubalis and his delegation.
First, the President of Armenia congratulated Lithuania on the assumption of chairmanship at the OSCE and underscored that Armenia attaches great importance to the cooperation in the framework of the OSCE.
“I am hopeful that in the period of your chairmanship at the OSCE, security and cooperation issues will register more prominent results,” said President Sargsyan.
Mr. Azubalis expressed gratitude for appreciating capabilities of the Organization and its chairmanship and for the readiness to continue cooperation.
The parties discussed issues related to the assistance of the OSCE structures to the democratic reforms in Armenia and the NK peace process in the OSCE Minsk Group format. In that context, the parties gave positive assessment to the outcome of the trilateral meeting in Sochi. The OSCE Chairman-in-Office noted that it is important to carry on and said that the negotiations should be continued based on that constructive basis.
