The newly appointed Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia presented his credentials to President Sargsyan

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia Tengiz Sharmanashvili presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President of Armenia congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic work in Armenia. President Sargsyan noted that the advanced Armenian-Georgian relations become even stronger through the active reciprocal visits; President Saakashvili visited Armenia in the beginning of this year, the Prime Minister of Georgia also was hosted in Armenia, quite recently the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure also paid visit to Yerevan, and this month we expect the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense. The Minister of Education of Armenia last week visited Georgia.

“I believe, this process will go on, and every Ambassador should be glad that these visits are taking place. Even though we have excellent relations, there is great potential for the development and strengthening of bilateral relations. President Saakashivili’s and my, as well as your task is to enhance that potential,” President Sargsyan noted.

Ambassador Tengiz Sharmanashvili assured the President of Armenia that during his tenure he would do his best to further strengthen and deepen the good-neighborly relations between the two countries and two peoples.
