President Serzh Sargsyan received the President of the European People’s Party Wilfried Martens
President Serzh Sargsyan received today the President of the European People’s Party Wilfried Martens.
The sides exchanged views on the Armenia-EU cooperation, reforms conducted in Armenia, process of the implementation of the initiatives in the framework of the Eastern Partnership program, interparty cooperation and regional issues.
President Sargsyan underscored that Armenia has chosen the path of reforms and down the road cooperation with the EU is very important. The President of Armenia stressed also the importance of relations and cooperation between the EEP and the Republican Party of Armenia, which, according to the President, is important not only for the Party but for the country overall.
Speaking about the meetings he has held in Armenia in the framework of his very busy schedule, the President of the European People’s Party Wilfried Martens assessed them as excellent, important and interesting. In his words, the bulk of the envisaged reforms has already been implemented and part of them is still in the process of implementation. He underscored the importance of the resolve which is observable in the determination to bring the reformation process to a successful conclusion.
