President Serzh Sargsyan received the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Celeste Wallander
Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Celeste Wallander.
The President of Armenia stressed the importance of the steady strengthening of the Armenian-American relations, hailing the well-balanced approaches and policies on the United States in our region.
“I consider the US involvement in our region to be a stability-enforcing factor. We express our satisfaction with the progress in our bilateral relation in a number of areas and, certainly, would like to have a more prominent progress in our trade and economic relations,” the President of Armenia said.
Noting that this is her third visit to Armenia, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Celeste Wallander underlined that she has had excellent meetings in Armenia and presented the results of these meetings to the President of Armenia.
Celeste Wallander expressed also gratitude for Armenia’s contribution to the peacekeeping operations, praising, in particular, increase of the number of the Armenian peacekeepers in Afghanistan.
