The message states:

“Mr. President,

On behalf of the people of Armenia and my own behalf, I send my warmest congratulations on the occasion of America’s Independence Day and cordially wish you new success, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of the United States.

The Declaration of Independence, adopted in Philadelphia 235 years ago, signifies the most important milestone on the road toward the consolidation of the greatest values of democracy, human rights and rights of nations, dignity and freedom of the people to master their own destiny.

Continuous and comprehensive assistance to the Republic of Armenia, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, provided by the United States from day one of our independence, is invaluable.

I take this opportunity to thank your administration and you personally for persistent and constructive efforts for the resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh problem and aimed at maintaining peace, stability and security in the region.

Armenia attaches special importance to the ongoing close cooperation with the United States and warm partnership relations, progressive development of our bilateral relations, further strengthening and deepening of friendship between our people and our countries.

I am hopeful that together we will be able to create new opportunities for cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, elevating that cooperation to a qualitatively new level.

Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of my highest consideration.”
