President Serzh Sargsyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Armenia

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Armenia Muhammad Ala-ad-Din Saad El-Leit.
President Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador on his new appointment and expressed hope that during his tenure he would do his best to promote the development and strengthening of the Armenian-Egyptian relations.
The parties stressed that the Armenian-Egyptian relations, friendship and mutual sympathy of the two nations, which date back centuries, continue today as well. It was underscored that along with high-level political relations it is important to develop also economic and cultural ties.
Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that establishment of political stability in Egypt would promote economic development and enhance economic cooperation of Armenia and Egypt. The President of Armenia and Ambassador of Egypt stressed also the importance of the Armenian-Egyptian community in strengthening the Armenian-Egyptian relations.
Noting, that his appointment coincided in time with the celebrations of Armenia’s 20th anniversary of independence, Ambassador Muhammad Ala-ad-Din Saad El-Leit congratulated Armenia and the Armenian President and wished further success.
